Diagnostic & Learning Resources System - East (FDLRS)
Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS)
is a statewide network which provides support services for exceptional education
teachers, regular education teachers with ESE students in their classroom,
parents of ESE students, agency personnel, and others who are involved in the
education of ESE students. FDLRS/East provides services to Brevard and Volusia
school districts. This site includes a searchable database of the entire
FDLRS/East library collection and lists service offerings to teachers in Brevard
and Volusia districts. UCF CARD (Center for Autism and Related Disabilities) UCF CARD provides individualized, direct assistance to children and adults of all levels of intellectual functioning who have Autism, pervasive developmental disorders, autistic-like disabilities, dual sensory impairments, or sensory impairments with other disabiling conditions. Services include technical assistance and consultation, professional training programs and public education activities. Card services are designed to build on the capacities of state and local resources, not to duplicate them. The Center is funded by the Florida Legislature through the Florida Department of Education and all services are free of charge. |
Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities, Inc. Promotes, expands, protects and seeks to assure the human and legal rights of people through the provision of information and advocacy. Brain Injury Association of Florida, Inc.
Advocate for persons with brain injuries by encouraging
the development of programs to meet their rehabilitation needs, providing
support for families, educating the public, enhancing policy regarding delivery
of services to people with brain injuries, and implementing prevention campaigns
to reduce the incidence of brain injury. Bureau of Exceptional Education
& Student Services
Administers programs for students with disabilities and
for gifted students. Additionally, the bureau coordinates student services
throughout the state and participates in multiple inter-agency efforts designed
to strengthen the quality and variety of services available to students with
